Eliot Randall to join Swindon Wildcats for 18/19 Season.

The Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Academy are today delighted to see last season’s Swindon Cougars U18 captain, Eliot Randall, link up with the senior Wildcats for the forthcoming NIHL campaign.

Eliot joins the senior Wildcats after spending last two seasons with the Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Academy. During his time with the Academy Eliot posted 50 goals and 33 assists for a total of 88 points in only 35 games. He also captained the Swindon Cougars in the U18 league last season.

Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Academy General Manager Lee Mason was thrilled to have seen Eliot graduate from the academy and be picked up by Aaron Nell as he assembles a squad looking to defend the Autumn Cup as well as launch a pursuit for the league, cup and playoff titles.

“I would like to say from my role as the SWIHA GM we are absolutely delighted to see Eliot graduate from the Academy and join the senior Swindon Wildcats team. Both I and Ken Forshee (Junior Head Coach) are passionate about producing players for senior hockey and this is why Ken looks after the Cougars U18 team.

The individual player and team development has been remarkable since Ken took over as Head Coach. Eliot himself was the Academy’s MVP last season and we wish him the best of luck in his new adventure with the Wildcats.”

Ken Forshee himself added:

“I’m so pleased for Eliot that this has worked out for him. He knows that there is a lot of hard work ahead of him to prove himself as a senior Wildcat, but I believe he has the skill, physical strength and professional attitude to allow him to become a successful member of the Wildcats.

He is at his best when he is working hard and winning battles in the corners and the front of the net. We take a great deal of pride in the Swindon junior programme in trying to develop our players to make the step to the next level and hopefully there will be many others who follow Eliot in the coming years!

If Eliot’s move has inspired you to become the next star, remember we run Kids Learn To Play sessions every Friday night at the Better Link Centre, where you can take your first step into becoming the next Eliot Randall and the road to become a Swindon Wildcat.
